Spring Vacation 2009

We just got back from our spring vacation. Great weather everyday. Got to see Fuji-san up close for the first time. Nothing like seeing it for real. We went to Tokyo, Fuji Q Highland, Nagoya, Monkey Park and Eigamura (Kyoto).

Visit to USAF Museum

We visited the Air Force Museum and Wright Brothers Memorial today in Dayton. It is a huge musuem. I highly recommend it if you like airplanes.

Winter Vacation for Noah and Hikaru

Hikaru and Noah visited Japan over winter vacation with their mom. Here are some highlights. There are more photos in the December 2008 and January 2009 albums.

End of an Era

Hikaru had his dream come true when he went visit Japan just in time to see the end of the Monkey Park monorail. It ended operations on December 27, 2008. It was special to him as he rode this monorail many times growing up in Inuyama. The station was just up the street from where we lived.

Christmas 2008

Hikaru and Noah spent Christmas in Japan with their mom, but here is a collage of some photos I took at Noah's Christmas party and with a Santa/reindeer we came across in Dublin.

Visit to Disney World

So, after swinging by DC on Thursday night, we kept on driving. At first we thought maybe New York again, but Disney World was our destiny. We arrived Friday night rested up and spent the whole day at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. We drove back through the night but due to quite a few traffic jams coming home, we didn't get home till Sunday evening.

Visit to DC

Since family plans for Thanksgiving Day didn't come together this year, we decided to take a road trip. We drove to DC on Thursday and toured it at night. It was fantastic! Weather was a tad cold but very clear. No crowds. Viewing these sites at night is definitely the way to go.

Hikaru got his 1st Class

Hikaru got his 1st Class today. He is really enjoying scouts. He also got the award given out each court of honor to the scout that has earned the most points.

First ever visit to Cedar Point

We'll, we finally made it up to Cedar Point. It was pretty amazing.
